Where you'll actually sit
Head Tables & Sweetheart Tables in Ottawa
You will spend more of your reception behind this table than anywhere else in the room, and so will every camera. We design it as the room's focal point: the loveseat or thrones, the floral runner, the skirting, and the way it reads from the very back table.
Sweetheart table or full head table?
A sweetheart table seats the two of you. It photographs beautifully, it gives you ten minutes alone in the middle of the day, and it lets us build something sculptural: a mirrored or glass top with florals spilling over the front, a tufted loveseat behind it, a neon monogram above.
A full head table seats the wedding party, sometimes twenty people. It needs a different approach: a long low floral runner that nobody has to talk over, consistent skirting down the whole front, and lighting that reaches both ends evenly. We have built both for thirty years and will tell you which one suits your room, your party size and your family.
The details that separate a good head table from a great one
Skirting that reaches the floor with no gap. Florals that read as one continuous line rather than three separate arrangements. Candles at a height that lights faces instead of blinding the person opposite. A back edge finished as carefully as the front, because your photographer will shoot from both sides.
And a chair you can actually sit in for four hours. Thrones look extraordinary in photos; a tufted loveseat is what most couples thank us for by dessert.

Questions
Head Tables, answered
A sweetheart table is usually the more affordable of the two, since it is one small surface instead of twenty feet of skirting and florals. That said, couples often reinvest the difference into a more dramatic backdrop behind it. We will show you both options side by side in your quote.
Yes. Bring your florist's palette or a photo of your bouquet and we will match tone and flower type across the head table, the centrepieces and the ceremony. If we are doing your florals too, it is matched by default.
We provide it. Tufted loveseats, high-back thrones and carved settees are all part of our own inventory, which means one contract, one delivery and one team on site.
